Mba Scholarships Texas – The new academic year includes a new group of full-time MBA scholarship recipients joining us from three community and business groups – Leadership Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce.
This academic year saw a new class of full-time MBA students, including six who received scholarships through their participation in Fort Worth community organizations dedicated to leadership development, business development and community service. The six leaders joining us are ambassadors for schools, government agencies, corporate businesses and entrepreneurial initiatives. Both Garcia and MagaƱa Leach join TCU from the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, which 50 years ago in 1973 recognized the need for representation in the local business community by a small group of minority businesses and community members. It was the fourth Mexican-American Chamber of Commerce to be established in Texas.
Anthony Hill has been the assistant principal at West Creek Elementary School in Fort Worth for the past three years. Previously worked as a customer manager and logistics specialist in the private sector. Hill earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of North Texas.

Difficulty waiting for applications, reluctance to defer income after college, and a general lack of financial security are some of the reasons Hispanics are admitted to MBA programs.
To enhance the MBA degree for Hispanic and Latino students, several organizations offer minority MBA scholarships. Read on to find out more about the scholarships available for Spanish MBA students.
The Spanish Scholarship Consortium (HSC) offers several scholarships of varying amounts for graduates. In addition to receiving scholarships, HSC scholars are connected through leadership training opportunities, mentoring and an alumni network.
The Wharton Executive Mba Program
Applicants must be of Hispanic or Latino/heritage and plan to enroll in a full-time MBA program. They must live in Texas but do not have to be US citizens. Students must have a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale to qualify for the scholarship.
The LULAC National Scholarship Fund (LNSF) funds three types of scholarships: National Academic Achievement Awards ($2,000) for students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher; Merit Awards ($500-$2,000) for students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher; and General Awards ($250-$1,000). This latter type of scholarship is awarded based on academic performance, community involvement, interview and essay.
Applicants must be US citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients. MBA students must apply or be enrolled part-time. Only residents of Arizona, Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas or Wisconsin are eligible to apply. There are 62 LULAC councils in these states.
Every year, the Spanish Scholarship Fund (HSF) selects 10,000 HSF scholars. Recipients receive scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 depending on need. Scholars also receive additional benefits, including career guidance services, mentoring and conferences.

You must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or DACA recipient of Hispanic heritage to apply. If applying as a college or graduate student, you must have a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. You may also be planning to enroll in a full-time MBA program.
The Prospanica Scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students who want to “make a positive difference through their contributions to society.” Students attending or planning to attend business schools in the United States or Puerto Rico are eligible for awards of up to $5,000.
Citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients of Hispanic/Latino/heritage are eligible to apply. If you did not work during your undergraduate degree, you need a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale to apply; If you are a college graduate, your GPA must be 2.75 or higher. You must also have a Prospanica membership.
The consortium aims to increase the number of Latino, African and Native American students in MBA programs. The organization awards hundreds of full-tuition scholarships to top business schools in the United States. Consortium scholars receive approximately 70% of full tuition fees.

Scholarship applicants, who must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, help “reduce the significant underrepresentation of African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans” in top business schools and leadership. All applications are considered for (usually) two-year, merit-based scholarships. Business school partners award scholarships based on their own selection criteria.
The Toigo MBA is a concurrent master’s degree program for underrepresented students in finance. Scholars have the opportunity to apply for leadership development, career coaching and cooperation partner awards.
Only MBA students selected as fellows can apply for funding. Toigo Fellow applicants must be ethnic minorities who plan to attend full-time MBA programs located in the United States. Students in dual enrollment programs such as JD/MBA are also eligible to apply.
To apply, please submit a resume, photo, copy of GMAT/GRE score or rejection, and undergraduate transcript. Applications will be announced in March, and fellows will be announced in June.

The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) awards several scholarships each year ranging from $1,250 to $10,000. MBA students do not need to major in finance to apply. However, they must be a Premium ALPFA National Student to apply. You must also be a US citizen, legal permanent resident, or DACA recipient.
You must have at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale to apply for this scholarship. You must also submit a resume, transcript, essay, letter of recommendation, and statement of financial need.
